Here’s the thing about travelling solo for a longer period of time: packing your bags, leaving your family and friends behind and heading to the other end of the world – it’s damn hard. Sure, you know there’s a beautiful country to discover and amazing people to meet when you get there. But there will also be lonely nights, difficult moments trying to find your own place in this new environment and times when you wonder what the people back home are up to. They’re most certainly not worrying about you, cause you’re “out there, enjoying yourself”…
So that’s why thinking about my next trip leaves me with mixed feelings. Am I scared? Hell yes! Am I looking forward to it? Of course!!
«They say fear is for the brave
For cowards never stare it in the eye
So am I fearless to be fearful?
Does it take courage to learn how to cry?»
